order Pseudoscorpionida
Small tail-less scorpion like arthropod. It has long jointed and flexible arms with pincers on the ends. 8 legs and is less than an inch for size reference there are cantaloupe seeds and my finger. According to wikipedia these false scorpions, and they're relatives book scorpions are helpful arachnids that feed on dust mites and clothes moth larvae.
Found in our compost heap
First time I've ever seen these they are quite active and diurnal unlike scorpions.
