this grasshopper is medium sized. it measured 1.5" long
tropical humid forest in SW Costa Rica at sea level.
Tettigonia viridissima is a European species and not found in Costa Rica. And it is not a bush cricket or katydid, but a grasshopper and most probably a grasshopper nymph. Katydid would have much longer antennae.
