Saffron-crowned Tanager

Tangara Xanthocephala

Description:

Tangara Xanthocephala is a small tanager species, that inhabits the eastern slopes of Los Alndes, from Venezuela to central Bolivia. In Bolivia it can be seen at altitudes from 1500-2500, sometimes near roads in forested areas.

Habitat:

Cloud forest and montane rain forest.

Notes:

These specimens were found near the "Death Road", between La Paz and Coroico, Bolivia.
