Broad winged tree cricket

Oecanthus latipennis

Description:

First time I've ever seen one of these fella. Appears almost like a lacewing, but has the legs of a grasshopper. Red splotches on its head, and two very long antennae. The wings don't seem to overlap very well. He was hiding in a bush, and was very placid. He seemed almost dead when I took the leaf he was sitting on away to get a better look. Though he walked like five inches afterwards.
