Woolly Bear Pupa (with protective hairs)

Pyrrharctia isabella

Description:

This is the pupa of the Wooly Bear spotted here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/132... I am wondering, if I keep it protected myself, will I be able to remove the pupa from its hairy enclosure without harming the metamorphosis process? Notice how well the pupa blends with its surroundings.
