Kayaler bagan or Kayal's garden is now a bird sanctuary in the heart of Kolkata city. Although called a garden, it is not a landscaped area with only garden varieties...rather everything growing wild is preserved.Old, epiphyte laden trees rub branches with bamboo groves and wild vines trail all over . So called weeds flourish. It is also called Chintamani Kar Bird Sanctuary. ...a 17 acre small enclosed area.

Thanks, Jellis. That site is really very good and I sometimes do refer to it. But skippers make me cross-eyes! I will sit down with them one day...and today I have got new glasses! Thanks again.
Looks like Oriental Contiguous Swift Polytremis lubricans. Many have the pattern on the forewing but few have the pattern on the hind wing.
