Bald Eagles

Haliaeetus leucocephalus

Description:

We counted 6 eagles in the sky that day. I was shooting with my 300mm lens and was wishing I had a larger lens. They were so beautiful soaring in that perfect cloudless sky, that we sat and watched them for a long time hoping that I could catch a better shot than the ones I got. Even though I was super excited to see them, as a photographer, I wanted to capture EVERYTHING!

We were driving 101 and just a little north of the Klamath River. We had stopped at a roadside smoked salmon shop and ate smoked salmon for lunch while sitting on the tailgate of our truck (doesn't that just scream Texan - lol) and looked up at the air show that was put on (seemingly) just for us.
