Cicadetta

Cicadetta sp

Description:

Had a body length of about 12 -15mm. This very dark buzzer had wings extending further out, about a quarter of its body length. Wings were clear with black veins. eyes black and beady. The underside of the abdomen looked paler.

Habitat:

Spotted on a warm night. There are acacias and eucalyptus tree on the grounds.

Notes:

I find it difficult to tell the difference between a Yoyetta and a Cicadetta and definitely can't ID the species.... These are Hemipterans from the Family: Cicadidae
