Wood geranium

Geranium sylvaticum

Description:

Herbaceous perennial of Geraniaceae family, growing up to some 70 cm in height. Pinkish flowers of some 3cm in diameter. Aka wood cranesbill.

Habitat:

Common in our mountainous region; in alpine vegetation of Jura Mountain Range. Often seen in mountain meadows, alpine mixed forest borders and river borders.
