Undescribed Phasmid

Description:

The genus and species of this phasmid are currently being described. Very slender Stick Insect, about 10cm in length with a green upperside and pinkish red underside, abdominal segments are marked by dark bands, the long legs are dark with bright yellow where they join the thorax.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest in the Ecuadorian Amazon region, near Tena.
