Thiania bhamoensis
This is a jumping spider that i found on the wall of my house. This is a male of Thiania bhamoensis. It body is black with a few green-blue stripes. The size of this spider is about 5 - 7 mm in length. Because two males will readily fight each other, either in a natural setting, or if put together, they are commonly known as "fighting spider".
- Around the house and garden.
- This spider is from the family of Salticidae (jumping spiders). Thanks to Schmeltzy for the ID. Visit the link for more pictures - http://www.peckhamia.com/salticidae/diag...
Hi Lanzz! We have a mission for jumping spiders that you may wish to join and add this spotting to:
http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/1916...
Having the spotting in the mission will help it to be noticed for ID.
