Asian Common Toad

Duttaphrynus melanostictus

Description:

Kidney shaped paratoid glands are my clues.

Habitat:

We were walking off extra calories when I heard the sounds of a frog/toad and located it on the steps leading to the swimming pool. It allowed me a few shots (flash) and then jumped into the pool for a few minutes. I did not disturb it after that and soon it came out and began calling again.

Notes:

My old friend Bufo melanostictus now goes by Duttaphrynus melanostictus. Wikipedia says it may be a complex rather than one species alone.
