Froghopper

Description:

Large froghopper of about 2cm body length. Head, protonum, and legs are bright red; forewings are black with red 'shoulders' and two red bands across. These were quite plentiful in the area.

Habitat:

Found among low vegetation on the way to the "Rostro Maya" in San Juan La Laguna, Lake Atitlán.
