Ardea herodias
A pure white subspecies of the Great Blue Heron, with yellow bill and tan legs. The White Form is usually found along coastal southern Florida and further south.
Great Blue Herons can be found in saltwater and freshwater habitats, from open coasts, marshes, sloughs, riverbanks, and lakes to backyard goldfish ponds. They also forage in grasslands and agricultural fields.
I spotted the Great Blue Heron (White Form) at Sweetwater Wetlands Park in Gainesville, Florida. They are very similar to the Great Egret with the exception the Egret has black legs.
