Description:

Male bagworm moth. Females are flightless & never leave their "bags". The males fertilize them through the opening of the bag.

Habitat:

Semi rural

Notes:

A major pest around here. The silk attaching the bags to the trees it girdles the branches causing die back.

I know, & there were 2 actually. I thought about squishing them but didn't have the heart! They are quite sinister looking aren't they?
