Possibly a type of wingless wasp? These things bite like the dickens.

Hi Nance! I am not absolutely sure on this, but it looks similar to Genus Pseudomyrmex.
I think it resembles Pseudomyrmex gracilis the most but I am not 100% confident with that as the ID.
