Smallish bug but with the head down I can not tell much more.

Habitat:

Beside a dirt road in open country a little above Munnar I believe. Munnar is at around 1600 m.

That is really interesting.
I tend to use Project Noah to sort unknown things long before my photo will reach Flickr. I have just had a fantastic trip to Peru and will have several for Project Noah when I get sorted - they will not reach Flickr for at least a year.

I have never seen a weevil like that but clearly that family do look different to the weevils I see generally.
