Occelated Blue-ringed Octopus/Mototi Octopus

Amphioctopus mototi

Description:

A small species, around 5 cm in body size. When disturbed, it gives out a warning through 2 blue-rings below its eyes, next to its siphon. They are venomous.

Habitat:

Shallow reefs especially among coral rubbles and sandy bottom and sea grasses.

Notes:

All pictures shows the same Octopus. Like all octopi, they are masters of camouflage and can change colours as they moves from different environment, blending into their surrounding.
