Water frog

Pelophylax sp

Description:

Probably a Marsh frog (again???), but we couldn't really see all the details; frogs were rather alarmed that day. This one was dark green-colored with some black blotches, and absent central dorsal line.

Habitat:

Water frogs are common in Europe, and usually seen close to water, around lakes, rivers, ponds or marshes. Here seen quickly on edges of protected marshlands of Geneva suburbs, Mategnin-les-Fontaines.
