They are not pets, they can go out. The bird nestboxes (14x14x30 cm, diameter hole 32 mm) are we use in Tokaj hill are frequently occupied by families of hazel and forest dormice.

Sweet, what does nest box mean? Do you have them as pets? It does not seem as though they can get out?
