Description:

Fast moving and busy, she didn't hold still for much. Beautiful small wasp with bright orange legs. Black and white striped body and antennae. She can be identified as female by the ovipositor (the part that looks like a stinger extending from the abdomen).

Habitat:

Base of a tree near a horse stable at Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.
