A clipper is an old sailing ship with many white billowing sails.
The white sections in the middle of these wings give this butterfly its common name.
In the wild, those from New Guinea tend to this color pattern and the blue colored ones are from the Malaysian end of their range.
This is a beauty! Perhaps it would be better in the Captive Animals mission rather than Butterflies of Florida since it is not native and in a controlled environment?
