Bubulcus ibis
breed in coastal barrier islands, marshes, reservoirs, lakes, quarries, swamps, riverside woodlands, and upland forests, and forage in fields with grazing livestock. During spring and fall migration they stop along marine shorelines as well as in farm fields.
