Description:

This medium to small triangular moth flew into the house when the lights were on and the door opened at night. It has attractive mixed chocolate colours, two darker rectangular patches, and a tightly wavy outer margin. About 25mm long.

Habitat:

Kitchen wall, suburban fringe to open dry forest.

Notes:

It's still here somewhere around here so more pics might follow... ok found it 3 days later. Not in good shape but still alive. Seems to have lost many scales. Put it outside on a jasmine plant. 3 photos poor focus. http://lepidoptera.butterflyhouse.com.au...
