Spined Micrathena

Micrathena gracilis

Description:

She would not cooperate for a photo. When I almost ran into her, face first she was sitting in the middle of her web. By the time I got a nice shot of her from behind she started climbing away from me before I could get in front of her. Typical female, camera shy. Anyways, I did manage to get a few shots of her but I was really wishing I had brought my external flash.

Habitat:

Dense Deciduous Forest
