Thalaina clara
A beautiful white moth with white satiny wings. Each fore wing shows a rust coloured "N" shaped pattern, with one of the arms running from the costa to the tornus of the wing. The inner margins also show a strip of the rust which continue along the trailing margins. The head showed a patch of orange.
Spotted under bright lights on a building near a national park.
Each hind wing is said to have a dark spot near the margin. T
The larvae of these moths eat black and silver wattle leaves (Acacia mearnsii and A.dealbata)
Family: Geomtridae
Subfamily: Ennominae
