Zebra Jumping Spider

Salticus palpalis

Description:

A beautiful jumping spider that I've been searching for for over 3 years! It has rich brown and white stripes on the abdomen. The cephalothorax shines gold, blue, green and purple in the light.

Habitat:

My fathers windshield of his Harley in the front yard. This species is found in California, Arizona and in Mexico.

Notes:

First of this species for Project Noah! Although S. scenicus is the true "Zebra Jumping Spider", this and other species of the genus have been called "Zebra" due to their striped abdomen.
