This a small part of a mangrove forest containing red, black and white mangrove species. These are a family of highly specialized plants expertly adapted to their habitat. with no competition from other species of trees because of the harsh environmental conditions, some of which are high light intensity, unstable and highly saline and water logged soil and tidal surges.
