Fruit fly

Description:

This little Fruit Fly found something it really liked on my Insect Net and stayed for quite a while. This is a new one for me. About 6 mm in length. The wing pattern is like Rhagoletis spp. but this one is all black, including the scutellum. Family Tephritidae.

Habitat:

Km. 16 Highway between San Cristobal and Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico.
