Black-winged Stilt

Himantopus himantopus

Description:

This is an extremely elegant bird but with seemingly disproportional legs. It is also identifiable by the black and withe contrast. The males tend to have more black in the head so most probably this is a female.

Habitat:

Sewage treatment of Vilamoura
