Description:

Probably a juvenile male as it still has a downy plumage. Males are lighter underneath than females. He had already created a territory for himself. The first pic shows him in an alert stance or posture.

Habitat:

Spotted on a house next to a hardwood forest in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Notes:

The northern mockingbird is the state bird of Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas, and formerly the state bird of South Carolina.
