Description:

This deer was found dead last year and has since been eaten by wildlife. The bones have been scattered around by critters over time. This jaw bone was brought through a wildlife transect tunnel to the other side before dropping it.

Habitat:

Outside wildlife transect tunnel surrounded by chaparral.

It is kind of sad, but at least we know it is part of the natural cycle of nature.
