Black and Yellow Mud Dauber

Sceliphron caementarium

Description:

Two of these lovely ladies were very very busy gathering little blobs of sandy mud to make a nest elsewhere. This 'was happening right at the very edge of a magnitude 1 freshwater spring, Silver Glen. (Our favorite...it is COLD!) The girls were completely oblivious to me as I took their photos from mere inches away.
