Blind Snake

Typhlops sp.

Description:

Believe this is a new species to science. If it is already known to science, then it has not been discovered in Southern Africa yet. You identify blind snakes by the shape/number of their face scales, and this guy didn't match anything in southern Africa.

Habitat:

Found under a rock in a high elevation grassland.

Thanks! They are huge when you compare to the blind snakes we have in the US: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/163... :)
