Dark Metallic and Red Shield Bug. Red on top of each leg, and a red stripe on each side of its abdomen.
Just found it on a leaf on a tree in my yard.
I put up a picture of what I would say is the same shield bug but at a different stage of growth that I saw back in March in my yard. It is not as dark and the middle segment of its back legs is much longer than this one
