I think both of you are right! Looks like a Cornus kousa - Chinese Dogwood, Thanks for all the help!

Hi Fyn K, it could be the fruit of dogwood tree because the fruit in this link look very similar to this one , though it is more rounded. http://www.aphotoflora.com/af_cornus_kou...
But it is possible because there are about 30-60 species.

The friend had found them while they were mowing and brought them over to my house, but did't say anything about where it came from. They thought it might be from a Dogwood? Thanks for the feedback!

It looks like mulberry fruit. But definitely not that one. But do you know where this fruit came from , like a tree, shrub,herb or a cactus.
