Description:

This is a reddish agutí. At least I think it's the correct translation of the local name. It is a 30 to 40 cm length, 25 cm height, so it is a nice animal. With the bright fur. Order Rodentia, family Dasyproctidae, it is pretty similar to others members of this family in the east of Argentina.

Habitat:

It could be found in the areas near the Callilegua National Park, from Tucumán to Bolivia and Perú. In Argentina mostly associated to the Yungas Forest.
