Barn Owl

Tyto alba

Description:

The Barn Owl is the most widely distributed species of owl in the world. As the name implies it is quite happy using man-made structures to make its nests in. The nest is placed on a flat surface and is not well developed. This owl was in an abandoned silo and found us as interesting as we found it.
