Lucanus cervus
Finally, my 2000th spotting! Thank you so much Project Noah for the magical trip in the worldwide biodiversity, I certainly learned much, and I keep learning! Now, about my spotting: It's a male Lucanus cervus that landed on me, and was released soon after the pics, in Pelion mountain, Greece. The species is quite common in the area and can be spotted flying around, especially late in the afternoon.
