Tagetes patula
Tagetes patula, the French marigold, is an annual species in the daisy family. It is used mainly as agarden ornamental plant, or as an edging plant on herbaceous borders, as it is a low-growing plant with flowers of blended red and yellow in most varieties. French marigolds are commonly planted in butterfly gardens as a nectar source. They were spotted in Agios Stefanos square, among other planted flowers, in Tsagarada village, Pelion mountain, Greece.
