Your welcome, AlbertKang....

Thanks, @Malcolm for the additional information :)

This bird has undergone a number of scientific name changes recently.
1993 books: Trichastoma malaccense
2000/2012 books: Malacocincla malacensis
Clements 2017: Pellorneum malaccense
I think they can all be treated as synonyms.

As for online resources for Borneo birds I have found this Pbase photo gallery to be useful in the past, although it's not exhaustive. The pictures are not always the best but there are often multiple photos for each species, which is very useful. http://www.pbase.com/wongtsushi/birds_of...

Great! Two for the Short-tailed babbler :-) Thanks Malcolm!

Very little on the internet about this bird but I have photographs in both my books which are "A Photographic guide to Birds of Borneo" by G.W.H. Davison and Chew Yen Kook, and "A Naturalists Guide to the Birds of Borneo" by Wong Tsu Chi. In the reference it is on the plate opposite page 248 marked as 5A, not obvious from that but I felt it was obvious in both books.

Albert, with a good knowledge of Southeast Asian birds, a complete check list of birds of Borneo and clear descriptive criteria it might still be possible to narrow it down by excluding other babblers or similar species found locally. I will ask Malcolm to have a look.

Thanks, @maplemoth662 :)

Thanks too, @Paul Davis and @Daniele for the help with ID.
I guess the picture is not sufficient to get a proper ID as it doesn't shows the complete bird and I didn't get to take from other angles.

The Ashy Prinia is not found on Borneo.
A babbler I think? From what can be seen of the plumage here it could be a Short-tailed babbler: white throat, grey face, rufous cap (unlike the Ashy Prinia), whitish chest, washed orange on the side. Seeing pinkish legs and a very short tail would confirm it. This species is found on Borneo.

I cannot be certain ,but I think it is an Ashy Prinia ·--- Prinia socialis.
