Red-tailed Hawk

Buteo jamaicensis

Description:

These hawks were fluffed up against the "polar vortex" cold weather and were watching this flock of bluebirds: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/140... From the difference in size of these hawks, I am assuming male and female.

Notes:

Spotted on a tree near an uncultivated area next to a mining operation in Kennesaw, GA
