Imbrasia tyrrhea
A big, beautiful black and silver caterpillar.
4-5 of these on a tree right next to a creek in a ravine between mountains. I of course didn't take a photo of the tree, so hopefully the leaves you can see tell you something about their host plant?
Saturniidae, Saturniinae, Imbrasia sp. and most probably Imbrasia tyrrhea.
