Moth

Pheosia. sp

Description:

Large moth; at least 1.5-2 inches long. Pleasing shades of white, brown and a touch of ash. Fuzzy. Just stayed put under the light and disappeared the next day.

Habitat:

Village Kolakham. This moth was spotted on the walls of the dining hall of the Kolakham Retreat (a homestay). The area is forested and a perfect paradise for moths.

Notes:

Pheosia fasciata Pheosia pulcherrima Pheosia excurvata Pheosia sikkima These are the species found in India.

Looks like Cossidae to me. Do you have a lateral view?
