Night Heron

Description:

On one of my walks on the salt swamp areas i seen these herons on a nest, in the picture you see two but actually near it are total of 5, they are grey, tall and very aware of their surroundings of predators or people. I was lucky to get this shot from the road side.

Habitat:

Salt marsh, in a tree on a nest, mostly in wet lands like rice fields and marshes, basically anywhere there is water.tropical or Jungle setting.

Notes:

Herons are taller than egrets around 3 to 4 feet standing, they like water areas for their foods like fish, frogs, snakes. They scare easily so you have to be far back with zoom lens to get good shots.
