I think it's some kind of hawk. Brown body with lighter head, features a dark line following the eyes.

Habitat:

Was at the edge of the city, with areas of Atlantic forest and pasture nearby.

Hi Fernando. Blowing up this picture I noticed it didn't have the typical "hooked" beak of the Hawks, so went another direction. Again, with the picture blown up, the bare spot in front of the eye is clear. I think this is your bird. Great shot. I haven't mastered getting shot of birds in flight.

Difficult to be certain without lightening the picture, but this could be a Black-collared Hawk, Busarellus nigricollis.
