Syrphid Fly

Ocyptamus cubanus

Description:

Syrphid fly. Sorry for the terrible photos, it was too skittish to let me get close and hold the camera steady

Habitat:

Canna lily in a suburban yard. The plant was infested with Whiteflies, which attracted lots of bees, wasps, flies, and ants because the larvae excrete honeydew
