Hyponephele lycaon
The Dusky Meadow Brown is a quite widespread European member of Satyrinae sub-family.It is distinguished by undersides which are uniform mottled brownish-grey. The female spotted here has two spots on the forewing, whereas the male has only one spot.
A rocky path at the edge of an alpine meadow, alt. 1700 m ASL.
This butterfly is often found feeding on thistles and scabious, which were quite common at the site of spotting.
Thank you very much bayucca and thanks again Ashish! I will update the spotting.
Agree with Bayucca...

This is not Hipparchia semele, so the ID in Ashishs link is not correct. Semele would have much stronger markings on the hindwing.

I think the one from the link is the same one as Daniele's:
Hyponephele lycaon, et en français c'est: Misis ou Lycaon ou Bioculé.
Best match:

Hi Ashish! This would certainly be a much better match than the Swiss Brassy Ringlet. And thanks Oneng!
If this site is trusted Daniele you have spotted this similar one...
