Echium candicans
Attractive blue inflorescences tapering to cones.. approx. 600mm each.. total plant height about 1.5 metres. The flowers seem to go through a change in colour from sky blue to almost purple. Leaves dense, narrow, furry, pointed.
Suburban garden.
A native of Canary Islands. This is on 'high-risk' weed alert in Victoria, Australia.

here in Portugal the Echium vulgare(cousin of this one),is very common
