Description:

Large evergreen upright tree 17m x 3.5m. Deep pointed aromatic oval leaves up to 100mm long with wavy edges. Small yellow flowers followed by blackish berries in mid-spring.

Habitat:

Moist well-drained soils.

Notes:

Leaves used for culinary purposes.
